First rays of light dawn over the peaks of Wanaka.
I made this photograph from the top of Mount Iron.
I remember it took a while to make my way up there in the dark. It was also bitterly cold. Once I reached the summit, I was a little disappointed, but, made do with what I had.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM 1s f/16.0 at 28.0mm iso100
Wish you did this in IR (Infrared.) Don't get me wrong this is beautiful, but a day time with a full blue sky would be stunning. Then again Canon's aren't good at IR photography, a CCD is better which some Nikon's have. Then you might have to remove the built in IR filter over the sensor (some don't come with one)...I am looking for a Nikon CCD without an IR filter but might, and then buying an IR filter (only lets in IR light) which I already have a Hoya R72 which still lets in some visible light (720nm+ wave length). So I need a job so I can buy the Hoya RM90 which lets in 900nm+. Far more expensive.
Wait, don't you have a Nikon without the IR filter? Converted to a Canon lens mount? What model? Does it have a CCD? I can't seem to find one :/ The mount converter that is.
I am also thinking about buying your camera or the new Mark III, However: I will probably get the EOS 7D.
What model 28mm lens was this taken with?
BTW I just bought a copy of Windows 64 bit Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 Extended for $99 in a download (I saw the EXIF data that you have a copy of CS4) I need a new laptop with a dedicated graphics card...
