MBWdesignz,

Thank you.

I used a 3-stop hard-step graduated neutral density filter and a circular polariser.

H

I could have just added this to my favorites twice if I could have! lmfao, I saw it in one of my clubs and intended to favorite until I realize I already did :D

Amazing shot by the way!

Very nice, where on Wanaka was this taken? I can't think of any rocky parts like this...

GregArps,

Thanks!

It's about a 10-minute drive out of Wanaka. I can't remember exactly what the place was called, but, it's a little side road which takes you down to a beach.

H

LuBo75,

Thanks so much for your comment.

My aim is to always capture a scene in light that makes it resemble a painting. This, and my other image, A Moment Forever Caught In Time, come across like this really well. I feel I'm getting better and better at this all the time. I'm also finding at the same time that I'm having to do much less in the way of post-processing. Except when I need to do blends.

Thank you, for what is to me, the ultimate compliment.

Regards,
H

Thank you. It was much greater being there in person and seeing the sun come up and start to warm my nose and face. It was cold that morning.

Jno-J,

Thank you heaps!

I used a 3-stop hard-step graduated neutral density filter and a circular polariser.

If I had waited any longer, I would have completely blown the sky. Good timing on this morning!

H

andyjimmy,

Thanks!

It was definitely one of the most spectacular sunrises I saw on my trip. This one and a magical sunset at Kaikoura on the north east coast. Unfortunately, I was out and about at the time but without camera (for shame!).
