Golden Tufts of Wanakaby *octane2

I made this photo on a chilly morning when I went for a walk along the Diamond Lake track. As I reached one of the summits of the walk, I was rewarded with this beautiful view.

It was an overcast morning, and, so I waited a while for the sun to come out before shooting the scene as I wanted to capture the golden tufts of grass in the middle of the scene. I was also lucky enough to capture sunlight striking the mountains as some thick, heavy cloud lapped on the peaks.

The image shows Lake Wanaka and environs.
