Floriade Flower Festival IX

Hi all,

Here's a set of images taken from the annual Floriade Flower Festival held in Canberra (Australia's capital).

My friends and I set out at 4 AM (I was driving), after having about 3 hours of sleep! After 3 and-a-half hours we arrived in Canberra. It was the most beautiful day you could imagine; not a cloud in the sky and the sun shining bright.

We were some of the first few people to arrive at the festival. The morning mist had left beautiful droplets and beads of water on the flowers.

I'm surprised my friends didn't get angry or upset with me, as I took up to three or four minutes to compose and take a single shot. Then again, I did organise the trip and they did know that it was going to be a photographic expedition.

I was pretty tired by the end of the day having lugged around my bag full of lenses and carrying my tripod!
